Fostering New Work in Installation Art and Performance
11 Jane St. is an artist-owned 19th-century brick warehouse in the Hudson Valley art mecca of Saugerties, NY, featuring the 11 Jane St. installation art and performance space and the Cross Contemporary Art gallery, each representing renowned mid-career artists. The artist studio of 11 Jane St. founder Jennifer Hicks is housed upstairs.
Jennifer retained Echo Sixty6 while still renovating and redesigning the warehouse, in search of assistance with the branding and marketing of her historic building and unique artistic concept, focused on the development of new and experimental work in multimedia, installation and performance.
Echo Sixty6 worked with Jennifer to strategize, develop and design her logo, the art:incubated tagline, her brand communication strategy and marketing materials, and the 11JaneStreet.com website.
Echo Sixty6 also assisted in the promotion of the launch of 11 Jane St., celebrated with the installation of When There Were Birds by award-winning Hudson Valley artist Millicent Young, whose work has been lauded by curators and directors of renowned institutions such as Dia:Beacon, The Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum, the New Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Millicent’s inaugural 11 Jane St. installation featured 10 ceiling-hung sculptures — constructed from grapevine and horsehair — designed to interact amongst themselves, with the movement of air, the fall of light and shadow, and the observer.
11 Jane St. is an art venue in a fully renovated 19th-century brick warehouse in Saugerties, NY, dedicated to supporting the residencies of established artists developing new and experimental works in multimedia, installation and performance.
Brand identity, with taglines and logo design; corporate identity and stationary system; communications and marketing strategies; website development, with copywriting, design, photo procurement, coding, SEO, and third-party integrations; graphic design and illustration.
Taking cues from 11 Jane St.’s location, a 19th-century brick warehouse, our creative team developed a brand architecture and corporate identity that reflects hints of the building’s architectural details and history — but with a modern twist, to reflect the art that is incubated within.
